Mission Statement


The Geneviève McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation has these basic goals:

A. To contribute to the elimination of racism in American society by funding projects that develop the leadership capacity of African-American youth and that promote African and African-American culture.

B. To promote civil and human rights, and civil liberties as guaranteed to all under the US Constitution.

C. To enhance the opportunities available to women of Africa and the Middle East by enabling them to study at American colleges and universities and by supporting projects they undertake in their home countries for the social advancement of women.

D. To support organizations whose goal is to work toward the achievement of worldwide peace, especially peace with justice in Israel and Palestine.

E. To support projects in journalism and the arts as they relate to the other purposes of the foundations.
